I am pretty new to this VMWare so please forgive me if it sounds like I don't know what I am doing, because I don't. I am using a home computer as a server and when I try to install ESXi 6.5 through a bootable USB it gives me the previous error. I have researched and I concluded that I need to inject NIC drivers into the ESXi iso image. I have used the ESXi-Customizer(NOT ESXi-Customizer-PS) to create the custom iso by injecting NIC drivers. However, I still get the error. I am sure I am using the wrong NIC drivers that are not compatible with my Network adapter(Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)). Anyway, I was wondering which driver I need, and what methods need to be done in order to get this up and running. This road block is causing too much stress as I need this for class and I still need to get more things done. As far as I know this should be the simpler part. Thanks in advance though guys. And if you need any more info just let me know like, motherboard, model numbers, my social security number, etc.
Update:So I went and bought a cheap Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. Good news: The 'No Network adapter detected' didn't show, everything was installing smoothly. Bad news: It crashed and a pink screen came up saying 'The system has found a problem on your machine and cannot continue. Failed to validate acceptance levels: Failed to check acceptance levels: None' I am wondering if the unsupported NIC is causing this, or what other underlying issue is there.Realtek Pcie Gbe Family Controller Driver For Esxi 55 Download72% Upvoted
